Guide To Finding Mugshots In Arkansas
July 31, 2022

Mugshots serve to put a face behind the series of misdemeanors, felonies, sex offenses, and other criminal activities that have been perpetrated by people.

So if you want to find the mugshot of anyone in Arkansas, we've penned down some channels you can explore.

What Is An Arkansas Criminal Record?

An Arkansas criminal record officially documents the criminal history of people within the state.

The records are a summation of the information obtained from law enforcement agencies and authorities at the local, county, and state levels.

Correctional facilities, along with trial and appeal courts, also contribute to the series of information about the arrests, indictments, and judgments that make up these records. You should find the following information on these records:

* The subject's full name and any aliases

Their mugshot and details of any unique physical descriptors

Their birthdate

A complete set of fingerprints

Past and most recent indictments

Arrest information

Conviction information and depositions

How To Obtain Criminal Records In Arkansas?

You can start by taking up a criminal search via an online Criminal Background Check System maintained by the Arkansas State Police Department.

However, you'll be required to sign up with the Information Network of Arkansas (INA) before you can be allowed entry into the database.

An alternative route to take is to mail your request to get access to the criminal record database, for which you'll be charged $25.

But before you send this mail, you'll need to have correctly filled out the relevant background check form and have it attached to the mail.

Arkansas Arrest Records

Arrest records in Arkansas contain all the relevant information about people suspected to have committed a crime in the state.

The Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) is the custodian of some of these arrest records in Arkansas. And when you get access to them, here are some of the things you're expected to find

The suspect's names and alias, if any

A description of their physical features

Their date of birth, age, and current address

Their fingerprints, height, weight,

Any distinctive features such as hair color, eye color, tattoos, scars, etc.

A mugshot of the suspect

The date, location, and time of the arrest

How To Access Arrest Records In Arkansas

You can start by checking the Arkansas Criminal History (ARCH) system—a unit of the ACIC, to obtain arrest information on your subject's criminal history.

There, you'll be asked to pay a non-refundable fee of $24(via debit or credit card) for every search made using the platform.

Alternatively, you may explore the Online Criminal Background Check System, where you'll get to pay a fee of $22 per search.

Also, you may deliver a completed form (ASP-122) in person or by mail to obtain the information, in which case you'll have to pay a $25 fee.

Arkansas Sex offender Records

Persons suspected of committing sex offenses in Arkansas have their mugshots and personal information was taken down before being prosecuted.

This information, getting through a series of profiling, interrogations, prosecution, and conviction, is contained in sex offender records.

These records are documented in a registry managed by the Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC), a unit of the Arkansas Department of Public Safety.

You may find the following information about the offender in these records:

Full name and any known aliases of the person

Level 1, 2, 3, or 4 community notification level

Birthdate

Physical description of the person, including their race, gender, sex,  hair color, and peculiar identifiers such as scars and tattoos

Address

Sex offenses

Valid means of identification

Photograph

How To Obtain Arkansas Sex offender Records

The Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) maintains a registry that can provide all the answers to your request.

This database has entries for the offender's first or last name, and the system should return some names matching your search.

If you feel like pruning the result field, you may include the offender's street name, city, county, and zip code. If the search result now comes out as the accurate one, you can go on to see their mugshot in addition to other information about them.

Third-party Websites

Third-party websites are independently run platforms that search extensively for public records from government sources and make them available to a larger audience.

They hold all types of records—from criminal/arrest records to marriage and divorce records, among others. These websites may include those dedicated to finding mugshots such as are found in prison handbooks, and sex offender databases.

How To Access Third-party Websites

A vast majority of these third-party websites operate in the same manner. They'll have text spaces for entering the first and last name of your person of interest and a dropdown menu of states to choose from.

As soon as you fill in the necessary entries and click on search, you should be availed of several results matching your search terms.

Providing further information to the system prompts should trim down the field to the right result. You can now find a mugshot attached to the information contained in the record.
